HUDSON AREA HISTORY CONNECTION
Octagon House Museum
COMMUNITY ORAL HISTORY PROJECT
GOOD FAITH PROMISE
We (being the Hudson Area History Connection and its staff, board, and volunteers) approach all aspects of this project with professionalism, a sense of responsibility, humility, and good faith communication. We seek to expand the ways of knowing, preserving, and understanding the past and its impacts on the present by inviting our community to share stories of their experiences in Hudson. We will work to respond and honor all participants according to the best practices of our field.
We ask for patience, as we are human and will make mistakes and missteps. We will work in good faith to take responsibility for the impact of our actions, and will work to repair any harm to the best of our ability. In turn, we ask for the same from our community and interviewees: to approach this project with good faith, positive intent, and responsibility.
