Guided House Tour

1st & 3rd Friday, Saturday & Sunday of the month

Enjoy a guided tour of the Octagon House and then take a step back in time in our self guided History Alcove.

Self Guided Admission

2nd  Friday, Saturday & Sunday of the Month

Walk through the house on your own.  Interpretive signage and artifacts on display with Octagon House Family booklets available to visitors.  Then, take a step back in time in our with a self guided tour of the History Alcove.

Living History Days

4th Friday, Saturday & Sunday of the month

Interact with demonstrators and watch as old-world crafts are created throughout the museum complex.  Then, take a step back in time in our self guided History Alcove

Afternoon Tea

Don your party best & your favorite hat & join us for a tea.

Teas include sweet and savory treats, along with a herbal & tea selection.  Cost is $25pp or $35 with additional house tour.  Octagon House Tease accommodate 4-12 guests.

Exclusive Octagon House Experience

Embark on an extensive behind-the-scenes experience through the Octagon House museum complex.  With access to spaces normally closed to visitors, this tour brings guests inside the closed doors spaces.  This experience is approximately three hours, visits the museum exhibit, storage, and research spaces.  Refreshments will be served at conclusion.

History Alcove Museum - Currently Unavailable

Last admission time at 3pm

The History Alcove showcases a vast collection of historic objects that portray our local history.  Display pieces include historic medical instruments, hand tools, cookware, tools and implements, crockery, railroad artifacts, industry and business machines, even a model of the cyclone proof house from the 1893 world fair.  Immerse yourself in Hudson area history from the 1850s to the 1950s.
