About the event

Campers will learn the basics of being a historian through research, behind-the-scenes planning with Octagon House Museum staff, examining artifacts, and then making their OWN tour to share with families at the end of camp. We’ll be answering questions like:

  • What DO historians do, and why does it matter?

  • What is an artifact, how are they preserved, and what can they tell us about the past?
